Gloria has been an extensive traveler to exotic place such as Africa, China, Europe and Alaska. She is always ready with a camera and paint brush to capture the moment. She has evolved into a permanent fixture in the art community of Macon Georgia
She won the fine artist of the year for the Cherry Blossom festival in 2008. She has won several awards at the Georgia National Fair and has exhibiting in several galleries in Macon and Charleston South Carolina. Now her work can be seen at Art on the Avenue, Gregory Gallery and Bodega’s.
Gloria’s art career started after a medical background as a medical technologist after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1968.
She has studied under John de la Vega, Shirley Long, Ernie Stofko Dixon and Marlin Adams.
She has used various mediums and styles in the past. She has painted on furniture, Glass, and cloth before settling primarily on canvas.
Gloria’s life now is joyfully filled with art, grandchildren and husband.
